THE STORY OF THE GLOVE

Since its first use, dating back to the Ancient Egypt, the glove’s history has gathered many anecdotes and traditions which have given a definite nobility to this fashion accessory.
Pharaohs used to wear gloves as a symbol of their prestige whereas women preserved the beauty of their hands by applying honey and scented oils and covering them with light silk gloves.
In the Roman era, gloves were called “digitalia” and were primarily made of silk or flax and were used to pick food, this tradition was imitated several centuries later by the French Court.

SEWING and FINISHING
The split glove is then assembled in the sewing phase. The forks, strips of leather between the fingers, are sown to the glove and the back of the palm is joined. This gives the glove its body. The various stitches crated have been handed down through generations. Strock, inside stitch for classic gloves. Pk, the most resistant stitch for thick hides such as deer hide. Saddler, stitches for sports and driving gloves. Hand stitching, for elegant and classy gloves. Once sewn, the glove is finished by adding the various distinctive details of each model such as buttons, decorated cuffs and straps.
